Israel and Erika, founders and senior pastors of Bethesda, have served our church since April 10, 2016. (first Bethesda service)
 Originally from Guadalajara Mexico. They received the call to the ministry from their youth which led them to study theology, being ordained in 2018 in the Church of the Nazarene. Happily married for over 22 years with 4 children, Israel Jr. Celeste, Vivian and Jeremy.

Under his leadership, Bethesda Church has experienced significant growth in membership and spiritual life of the church. They have established a strong presence in our community through service and support to those in need.

Pastor Micah has been in pastoral ministry for over 20 years. He came to faith at 19 and grew up in Northern California. He is a credentialed teacher and received is MA in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is an ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. He has led Southport Church for over seven years and is excited about the partnership of his congregation with the growing witness at Bethesda. He is passionate about connecting with people and developing ways for the Gospel to bring new paths of restoration. He loves to travel, hike, and explore the mountains with his Husky, “Blu” and his converted Sprinter Van. He hopes that his experiences and desire for authentic faith will draw people to deeper encounters with God.
